BYU has recently announced that they are going to have caffeinated beverages on campus. It has received a lot of press including the News 3 special report that aired last night.
Since BYU is a Church school this decision is sure to bring a lot of controversy to Provo and I am sure we will be hearing about it for the next couple weeks.
I have a lot of questions about this. While I don't personally drink caffeine I never really thought of it as that big of an issue one way or another.
Why is this such a polorizing issue?
Will it change anything about BYU's image?

This is an outrage! When was that protest? I would have been there with a bigger sign than those!
ReplyDelete*polarizing* Fix your spelling, increase credibility :D Nice job on the video
ReplyDeleteWhatever! It's about time we get caffeine on campus! Everyone knows people just walk a couple blocks and bring it back anyway! You protesters are nuts. It's not a commandment you know!
ReplyDeleteis this real?
ReplyDeletea viral plug for www.jer3miah.com
ReplyDeleteapril fools! i wish it were true though...
ReplyDeleteHaha, I totally wrote a paper about this in my english class last year...! silly uber-conservative mormons and their tendency to make up extra rules for the rest of the world to follow ;)
ReplyDeleteStudents are idiots. One wonders what would happen if a substantial policy change occurred at BYU...
ReplyDeleteThis is a couple of weeks too late. The basketball team could have used some caffeine in their dismal performance in the NCAA tournament.
ReplyDeleteGreat April fools joke... one of the best I have seen today! Congrats!
ReplyDelete"Mountain Meadow" sound pretty mellow as it is. The copy guys should think about spicing up the tag line a bit:
ReplyDelete"It will massacre your tastebuds!"
so good!
ReplyDeletePeople are drinking a lot more caffeine than they ever did before, members of the church included and I'm wondering why...not that it's a sin or anything...but it does play dastardly tricks on your body and sets you up for other issues I"m not willing to deal with. Great prank!
ReplyDeletecaffeine has some crazy consequences, not the least of which is sex changes. YOU THINK I'M KIDDING
ReplyDeletethat's why i steer clear of caffeine. i'll always be a man. that's a promise i made to myself.

ReplyDeleteThat means that my co-workers and I won't have to walk off-campus to the Chevron anymore for our drinks. But that will cut down drastically on our exercise.

ReplyDeleteLove it! Hey, I just posted about Jer3miah.com on my website! Terry Denlewt's Spirit soda sure looks good too!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Loved it. So much.
ReplyDeleteHow can one believe a non-believer? Anyone who contradicts the collective wisdom of Utah culture is worse than an infidel!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, AMAZING. Loved it!!! Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteP.S. - I totally recognized four of the students from my BYU days (I graduated four years ago). I think they were in my American Heritage labs? Or I knew them from the Comms department? Anyways, hi guys! Keep up the awesomeness!
What is this world coming to? ; )
ReplyDeleteThey really do need caffeine on campus. And drugs. Those too.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I think I just peed myself. HILARIOUS!!!
